The African Child Policy Forum is Africa based,
with an African voice, for Africans. The
Forum’s biennial International Policy Conference
is a physical extension of this idea as it provides
an African-specific opportunity for dialogue.
The goal of the International Policy Conference is
to bring together governments, policy makers and non-governmental
organisations in the promotion of the rights and welfare
of Africa’s children, so that it contributes
to the ongoing international efforts to effect attitudinal
and policy changes.
The African Child Policy Forum hopes that the conferences
will provide a platform for like-minded organisations
to work together to initiate African-wide actions,
implementations and measures to provide and protect
children.
